Feels
A random dump of thoughts on AI-generated content.
I can't be the only one that feels a deep disappointment in the fact that AI seems to be taking over the most quintessential activities of being human.
I can't be the only one how feels sad that the art of so many brilliant artists is now at the disposal of every random person on the internet who wants to use it.
The technological accomplishment is nothing sort of amazing. But is this really what we as a society want our future to be like? A future where we spit out things generated with AI without the slightest care or consideration for its quality.
The effect seems to be that we're getting flooded with a mass of mediocre media. At this point I rather see something that doesn't look very good, made by someone who's just starting out. At least I know is made by a human.
So what is the future that we're creating? AI-generated posts, that some algorithm chooses to show to some people, who in turn leave lazy-ass, AI-generated comments. It's a dumb game where humans use the machine to generate stuff for other humans who use the machine to react to that stuff. Are we the users or are we the ones being used?
Even as I write this, I feel an urge to dumb it into ChatGPT to check for grammar, spelling, conciseness, punctuation or whatever.
But I chose not to. I leave this as it is. Raw. With poorly phrased and grammatically incorrect sentences. With redundancies and typos.
And I'm seriously considering posting more stuff like this.
